How much of a moment fits on a print?

A name, a date, a little phrase and a shared pose. Where do you begin when planning the design of a photo print?

How much of a moment fits on a print?

After an event, a small photograph in your hand can bring back its voices and energy. The frame design should support that feeling without competing with the picture itself. A few simple decisions are a good place to begin.

Make room for the photograph first

Names and a date can be lovely additions, but the guests are the main part of the image. Check that text, logos and decorations leave enough space for the photograph. Think about whether lettering will be comfortable to read at the selected print size.

Choose a visual idea

A colour from the invitation, flowers at the venue or a short phrase for the occasion can provide a starting point. Rather than include every detail, choose a few elements that work together. For a brand event, share the approved logo and artwork files.

Review the print at its own size

A design on a screen can feel different when held in your hand. Agree on dimensions, image placement, spelling and the final approval process before the event. Quantity and service hours should also be part of the written scope.

You complete the keepsake

Once the design is ready, the moment inside it is yours to make. Invite your favourite person into the picture; the real story in the frame belongs to you.
